Calgary European Film Festival report

The festival will be held at Globe Cinema & Online Nov 6-14. We are sponsoring a Finnish movie “The Potato Venture”. In-Cinema: Sun Nov 14 at 7:00 PM (Globe Cinema 2). Join us for the Closing Night celebrations of the 10th Anniversary Calgary European Film Festival! Stream: Nov 6-14 across Canada.

Language Lessons are back!

Beginner and Advanced Finnish language classes available! Each session runs for 10 weeks on Tuesdays, starting September 14, 2021. Beginner Finnish runs Tuesdays from 7-8pm MST, Beginner Plus Finnish runs Tuesdays from 8-9pm MST. Advanced classes are Monday evenings from 7-8pm MST. Little Finns is back in person!

Sundays from 4-6pm at the Scandinavian Centre! September 12, October 10, November 7, December 5. Email Heini Oguike at heini.oguike@gmail.com if your child would like to attend!

Dear CFCA 2019 Members,

Hyvää uutta vuotta! Happy New Year!

Language Lessons:

Finnish language classes will start on Monday, January 14th, 2019.

They are held at the Scandinavian Centre (739 20 Ave NW, Calgary) in the Saga Room, located in the basement.

Classes begin at 6:30 pm and end at 9:30 pm.  Beginners come in first and the more advanced students at 8 pm. You are welcome to stay for as long as you wish, even the whole three hours.

There will be 10 lessons for the Winter 2018 session. There is no fee for these lessons, but you will need to purchase a textbook (cost TBD).

Class attendees must be Calgary Finlandia Cultural Association (CFCA) members.  Payment for membership can be done at the first lesson.
