Language Lessons are back for 2022-2023!
Finnish language classes for adults are starting up again in September! We have three levels available; Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Beginner and intermediate classes take place on Tuesday nights, and advanced classes on Monday nights. All classes are held online at the moment.
Sessions for 2022/2023 run as follows:
Fall session: September 12 – November 15
Winter session: January 9 – March 14
Spring session: April 3 – June 6
Finnish Beginner: Tuesday nights 7pm-8pm
Book: Suomen Mestari 1
Teacher: Inkeri Kankaanpaa
Finnish Intermediate: Tuesday nights 8pm-9pm
Book: Suomen Mestari 1
Teacher: Inkeri Kankaanpaa
Finnish Advanced: Monday nights 7pm-8:30pm
Book: Suomen Mestari 2
Teacher: Malla Paloniemi
Class attendees must be Calgary Finlandia Cultural Association (CFCA) members. Payment for membership can be done at the first lesson (please download membership form from the “Membership” page on this website). There is no fee for these lessons, but you will need to purchase a textbook, available here (approximately $64 CAD). All classes are via Skype.
